We stayed at The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood and overall had a good experience. The hotel has a sleek, modern design and a vibrant atmosphere that gives it an upscale boutique feel. It’s in a great location for sightseeing, especially if you're planning to drive — Hollywood landmarks are close by, and it’s a convenient base for exploring greater LA.
Our room on the 4th floor was stylish and clean, though a bit compact, which is worth noting if you're traveling with more luggage or staying for multiple nights. The valet parking is $60 per night, which feels steep, but it does include in-and-out privileges. Given the area and safety concerns around street parking, it’s really one of the few viable options.
The hotel is definitely on the lively side, especially in the evenings with activity around the rooftop and lobby. Thankfully, noise inside the room died down after 10pm, so sleeping at night wasn’t an issue — at least until the next morning, when we were woken at 6am by roadworks just outside. The windows aren’t fully soundproof, which made the early noise unavoidable.
Despite these issues, The Godfrey still offers a fun, well-located stay with a lot of style. It’s a solid pick if you're okay with some city noise and want to be in the heart of the action.
