The staff, lobby, and bathroom were good. However, the bed was so uncomfortable, I got maybe 8 hours of sleep over 4 nights. I can’t recommend this hotel until the quality of the bed improves. I would dread having to go back to the hotel after a long day exploring London.

Languishing in London

We were very pleased to have chosen the Royal Eagle Hotel. Very nice area, and very close to Paddington Station. The staff were very welcoming, efficient and went out of their way to assist with navigation details during our stay. The beds were so comfortable - a perfect respite following our action- filled days in London.

I got what I paid for, a 2 -star hotel. It was what I was expecting. Old and tired property but very clean and staff were exceptionally friendly. Fan in the room much appreciated. Good TV in the room.

Great location, for a London visit

Our stay was good. Very conveniently located close to Paddington station which is the main stop from Heathrow airport. Also very close to Hyde park which was lovely for running to first thing in the morning. There were two false fire alarms during our stay which was annoying but not the fault of the hotel. The breakfast was not our favorite, but Sheila’s cafe and a small French cafe also walking distance that were both great.

It was a nice property for the price. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint would be we had 3 adults. 2 older adults and a 21 year old. The 2 older adults had to climb up (with large suitcases) the spiral staircase to the bed. The only very small bathroom was downstairs.
