「It is a beautiful, historic building across the street from the Swan and Royal Shakespeare Theatres and next door to an historic pub. Everything is walkable in Stratford. We took a great walking tour from the beautiful park that included the church Shakespeare attended and is buried in. One note, there is no elevator in the hotel and our room was on the 3rd floor. 「We stayed at the Hotel Du Vin on our wedding night. We checked in online which was a very quick and simple process. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a suitcase which we wanted to take to the hotel prior to checking in. 「We happened to stay during a heatwave. The room had no air conditioning, only a fan. The room was spacious but really needs an update. The corners of the bed and the duvet cover were torn. The wallpaper was also peeling. The bathroom renovation was acceptable. Breakfast was in buffet style but the refills were too slow—there was nothing left to eat and all the juices ran out.」
