I walked into town for a theatre visit. Grounds were dark walking back and a bit tricky spotting speed humps. I used the torch on my phone but a few low level lights on drive edge would help.

Found the room to be qute noisy. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Room was clean. Intermittent Internet in the room for my partner who was on the hotel wifi.

Stunning property, absolutely beautiful!! Some staff need to smile more, some of the staff seemed miserable which was a shame. The young guy on breakfast was very professional, but some of the others not. Only other negative was due to Weddings being held there the noise of partying until early hours

A terrific old building surrounded by beautiful country side. The room was a lovely size and extremely comfortable. Great to sit outside on the terrace having a drink and looking at the super gardens. A great stay and a place we will stay at again.

Beautiful old buildings and very cosy and spacious rooms. Only one more need handrails outside the big steps towards to the golf course, its for elderly people

There was no one at reception when i arrived, waited 5 minutes before someone came out from the office. Was told there was no room service as they 'had a wedding on'. The room was not a double bed but 2 singles pushed together but not connected. The room was shabby and not welcoming again. Would not recommend, not worth it's star rating

A little spooky and reserved as we arrived late after the theater, but staff was wonderful and friendly and our stay was marvelous. Check in during the day don’t wait until 10:30 at night enjoy the beautiful grounds and lovely people.

A wonderful hotel, 3 of us stayed in one of the apartments. The apartment was at the back of the hotel about 3 minutes walk to the spa and hotel main reception. The apartment was clean, although there was a minor issues with ants near the window which the hotel was very helpful over. The apartment had 2 very good size bedrooms which slept 3 but there were 2 pull out beds if needed. The kitchen was well equipped and the furniture comfortable. The spa was amazing, lots to do and places to sit.

The property looked like a castle! It was outside of town and very secluded yet easy to get there. We actually stayed in apartments next to the main house which were very large (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a washing machine in our unit). The beds were very comfortable as well. You can tell that they were renovating, because a couple things did not work (a key, the phone) and a piece of wood under the sink fell off on its own. They were all extremely kind and professional, though; we felt extra taken care of by the manager who brought us deserts making us very happy that evening! The breakfast was fantastic, and the person in charge of seating us and taking care of us was the kindest ever. He went above and beyond! We would definitely stay here again!

I though the building and gardens speak for itself in the pictures, it was a great place to soak in culture but for someone on business time, accessing wifi was problematic , it kept dipping out. It was also very hot in the rooms with no aircon. The baths were small and the rooms were okay
