「The property is beautiful. Our room was lovely—very clean and comfortable. The seating in our room was perfect for reading, and the balcony an extra treat. Allen was so gracious and helpful. The location was great for dinner plans and a short easy drive to Churchill Downs. Breakfast was delicious—especially the biscuits and gravy. 「Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean. Beautiful neighborhood. Close to a wonderful park with live performances of Shakespeare. A couple hitches with checking in and getting a code but otherwise very satisfactory stay.」

「Such a lovely building, clearly loved by all who work there. Information about the property, check-in procedure, etc. was communicated very clearly before my arrival. Fresh lemon blueberry scones were there for a snack when I arrived near midnight. Wow. When booking, I didn’t think about the lack of elevator at this property. My 68 year old knees did complain a little when climbing the external & interior stairs with my luggage.」

「This hotel is a lovely, historic hotel in downtown Louisville. The hotel is very inviting and grand, when you first enter. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond when it came to customer service. The room was very clean but some of the maintenance was lacking overall in the hotel. Ceilings were chipping in various areas along with some doors. This is to be expected in a historic hotel though and is understandable. We ate at the Lobby Bar and Grill and the food and service...

「Hi, real quick. The pool bar had no staff there the entire stay. The "market " had a private function and we were unable to get a coffee or a grab and go sandwich. There were no notice of either amenities being closed. We had to leave the hotel and go to the Marriott for dinner one night because EVERYTHING was closed to the public, even though we were guests for 8 days there. Next time we'll choose a better place with amenities that actually are for all the guests of the hotel」

Pros: they do not charge a fee for a pet. Otherwise, there is no motivation to stay at Aloft by Marriott Downtown Louisville」
