「The area around it seemed a little sketchy when were pulling in but would highly recommend staying here. Don’t let the surrounding area scare you. It was my 1st experience with a bed and breakfast. The owner/staff was great. Always helpful. Breakfast was delicious each morning. It was all homemade. Shower was AMAZING! Great pressure and extra overhead rainfall shower too. We found out from other guests it was her childhood home. We truly enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. 」

「My husband and I stayed here while our son was playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The drive there and back each day was a breeze. Also the view from our room was beautiful. We were here the week of 4th of July and had the BEST fireworks view. Would definitely stay here again.」

「This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. He seemed to anticipate our arrival, had friendly and humorous anecdotes about the area and made us feel genuinely valued. I recommend this property highly. 」

「Staying at this bed and breakfast was like stepping into another time. The mansion is beautifully preserved, and every room has its own unique personality, like an art gallery at every turn. Even the music playing throughout the mansion during breakfast made you feel transported. Jim and Susie were so warm and welcoming. They waited up for us when we arrived late, gave us a thoughtful tour, and somehow still had the energy to make us feel completely at home. Over breakfast the next morning...
