「THIS is a guilty pleasure. Love the location and isolation of this property. They have a couple dining options and great room service. Most importantly, they’re pet friendly and my “boys”, Louie and Logan are treated like rock stars. Great walking grounds, and the rooms are fabulous where you just want to stay in and relax. 」

「The hotel is part of the university area. Noisy at night on the weekend but it was ok for us. The hotel has its charm. 」

「First when I checked in, there still guests inside for the room gave to me Then I had to go back to asked another room. The lady at front desk was not happy and passed that room to another check in guest. Moment after, that guest met the same issue. Few hours after my check in, my credit card was charged again. So I went down to check with the front desk. The lady at front desk is very rude and she said that is the system trasaction and she can do nothing. And nobody I can talk to. I have to...

「I happen to hit it on a very busy end of week where they were doing huge amounts of maintenance ....washing huge amounts of windows… Sitting at the pool was excruciating in that the machines that were washing the windows and workers were so loud. That was very disappointing and I thought the pool area looked a little downtrodden...The rest of the hotel was lovely. People were very accommodating. 」

「Loved our stay, nice room, friendly staff, convenient to grounds, very clean, quaint pool. The valet parking was odd — literally paid a fee to move our car about 30 feet, but whatever.」

「We picked the Doyle for its location; this was a one night stop on a longer vaca, and it was perfect. Toured Monticello then checked in here and walked to Belmont and the downtown mall for dinner and ice cream. Another short walk in the AM for brunch and a stroll thru UVa campus before we left. Standard room was fine - minimalist, but clean and everything you need. Lobby, bar and rooftop restaurant are all beautiful!」
