「What a beautiful and relaxing spot. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Quiet and bucolic-yet close to town. 」

「The place was nice and clean. The property was well kept and everything seemed new and clean. The only questionable thing was the elevator. It made some weird noises and bumps going up. Also, breakfast could have had a little more variety.」

「Easy access. Strange odor in the common area and slightly into the rooms. Only (3) towels provided for a room that sleeps (4). No towel/rug for the bathroom floor provided which creates a slippery situation - especially with kids! Bugs found in the pull out bed.」

「We were there two days. When we got back to our room there had been no housekeeping done. My wife went to the office to get some clean towels. She asked why no one cleaned the reply was “we knocked and no one answered”」

「Rich in history, excellent wine tasting experience at adjoining Pippin Hill Farms and Winery. We enjoyed feeding the chickens! The concierge folks were so helpful and nice. Beakfast every morning was delicious!」

「My family and I stayed in Hanging Cabin #9, which had bunk beds suited for my two children. The cabin appeared to have been recently renovated, with new flooring and a well-equipped kitchen. It included a TV (unlike other cabins we've stayed in without one) and a nice jacuzzi. Keep in mind that being outdoors means bugs may be around, which is not the property's fault but a natural occurrence. A bit of pest control before guests arrive could have made this place an A+.」

「Only thing I’d say bad were the beds they were extremely uncomfortable」

「Dog feces, indoors, in the front entryway. Hole in bathroom wall from door handle, spackle missing entirely or mold on the ceilings. It is absolutely not safe to stay here, door was messed with and jimmied during the night, but had the door barricaded, left before dawn and didn’t stay the second night. Ideal place to stay if you plan on cooking meth or have a deathwish.」

「The "Warehouse" was a unique Place. It was a large Room with Tall Ceiling and very nicely decorated. I stayed in Room#1. The location of the Gibson Warehouse was in the old downtown historic section of Staunton. Revitalized, brightly illuminated, Great resturant right underneath the Hotel part - Byers Street Bistro - great food and service. I will be stayomg there again on my next trip through.」

「The staff were fantastic! However the room was not very clean, holes in the walls, looked like someone burnt a hole in the floor, and smelt horrible! That being said, it was cheap and I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for.」

「The A/C in our room was broken…80° all night. Clearly there were A/C issues in the entire floor as the lobby on the 4th floor was hot too. Called the front desk; never offered another room. The property is very cool and historic. It was disappointing to have this issue. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well apportioned. The on site restaurant is only open for breakfast which was also frustrating.」
