"I couldn't fly this day in the end. I would have cancelled but they don't offer even partial refunds so why bother. Would be smarter and more convenient for everyone to offer at least partial refunds - travelers get some money back, and they get part of the price can put the room back for sale."

Complicated check-in and noisy but decent sleep
"You need your phone number to check-in through a screen... but it did not work! The "hotel" doesn't have after-hour customer service, so I ended up calling hotels.com which told me to use a different phone number (never heard before!) as a chek-in code.
