This property is somewhat remote for some people, but we LOVED it! Location was central between our destinations. Everything was available and seemed quite new. Has a fridge, dishwasher, fabulous shower, stove, and oven. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. We loved staying here and hope others will choose to do the same!

We stayed at Kria, and the view was absolutely incredible\. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by unspoiled nature.
The place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I only regret that I didn’t get the chance to enjoy the hot pot because of the strong wind and cold temperatures.
It would be a perfect location for viewing the Northern Lights. I can only imagine how magical the experience must be on a clear night!!
Thank you, Esther.

We loved the location. Amazing views from the property. Only 10 minutes from town. The stairs to the bedroom loft were narrow and steep and difficult to maneuver for someone with joint issues. Aside from the stairs, we loved it!

Top tier spot. Clean, warm in the winter, very responsive owners. Plenty of local stuff to do nearby like waterfall walks, Caves of Hella, wool market, and a cute cafe. A great middle point for exploring golden circle and south coast.

Ironically the absolute best place we stayed in all of Iceland. Amenities like a kitchen and hot tub and just the amazing view made this extremely worthwhile. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and responsive to my questions. Even providing suggestions. Location was perfect for the Golden Circle. So dark at night we saw the Northern lights in late August. We loved this cabin. Would definitely come again.

I am between providing a 4 star or 5 star review, but will tip it up to 5. It’s probably like a 4.25.
Overall was one of our favorite stays in Iceland. The cottages are so unique, it was really fun to stay here and I’m so glad we did! I would totally recommend to anyone staying in the area.
A few notes:
1. The cottage fits 2 adults comfortably. 4 adults would be a very tight squeeze and wouldn’t be a comfortable stay. There is very little storage space to stow bags for 4 adults, and the...

Hrifunes Nature Park is special for many reasons. For starters, the house we stayed in was modern, clean and beautiful. It was a perfect and peaceful place to stay in hopes of catching the Northern Lights. Additionally, the host who runs Hrifunes was truly the kindest person we encountered on our trip. We arrived late and he was waiting in the cold to help make sure we found the house okay and then walked us through to show us everything so we felt settled and secure. Additionally, we had...

We stay 2 nights at Aurora Cabin. It is located on Highway 1 and it is easy to find. The Cabin is Cosy and have a nice Kitchen with everything we need to cook for a good meal. We met the Property Owner Ivac on 2nd day. He is nice and helpful. He told us where and when to look for Northern Light. We saw Northern Light that night just outside the Cabin. A wonderful property. It's not a hotel, so if you're expecting something luxurious, this isn't it! The location is great, and the owners have developed cute walking trails about troll-related folklore. There's a shared kitchen available, and the bathrooms are in a building less than a minute walk from the pods. It's northern Europe, so the showers are communal. Natural hot tubs are open in the evening, and there's a decent (and relatively cheap!) restaurant on site with a sunroom for taking...
