There is a steep hill to walk down to take the path to downtown, not advisable for seniors. But you can park at the bottom by the path of you don't want to walk up the very steep hill. ..."

Beautiful area with mountains and Lake Chatuge. Don’t miss Brasstown Valley Resort restaurant. Nice hiking trails in the area. Quaint Helen is only about 30 min away. We love this area with the small town feel.

I go to church in Hiawassee. Grace Worship Centre. Had friends in for the weekend and the Holiday in is right up the road from our church. It was a great weekend!!!

I was raised in Hayesville Nc and would travel to Hiawassee quite often. Area has grown since my childhood. Just love the lake. Was raised in Elf community. Spent a lot of time on lake fishing.
