"This place is well worth the money we paid to stay. We chose the Appalachian Room which had a cabin feel, wood floors and rustic finishes added to the room's decor. Even a sound machine for sleep was in our room. King bed and bedding were great. Decor for the room and common areas had a very charming, old world feel. Fully accommodating coffee/tea station on both floors. Beautiful landscaping with waterfall and Koi Pond, stone walkways added to beauty of this hotel. Staff were very helpful and personable. Max's restaurant across the street was convenient, good food and priced well."

I can't get enough of the warm ambiance throughout the property. And let's talk about the location – being near downtown Highlands is such a bonus, with easy access to trails and activities. But the real star of the show? The restaurant! It's hands down the best part, serving up delicious meals in a cozy setting. Whether I'm traveling with friends, family, or flying solo, Highlander Mountain House always feels like home. Can't wait for my next visit – it's truly a slice of heaven in the mountains!"
