「The bathrooms had mold in the corners and at the ceiling tiles around could use a good cleaning as well as the green stains in the tub from the dripping water. There was a moldy odor in one room and the other needed to be dusted. Behind the mattress at the framed headboard on the wall. The staff was very nice and for a one night stay it wasn’t terrible but not exactly as expected. The check in area and breakfast area we clean and had no odors.」

「The Grand Colonial is a great choice for a temporary home in the Herkimer area. So rich in American Revolutionary history, the old mansion is an historic relic that is kept up-to-date by its current owners. Mike was our host, and he couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We give it our highest recommendation.」

「Neat 1800’s hotel. Odd scarcity of people. Beds need replacing. Good pizza and convenience store nearby. Close to Cooperstown.」

「If you want a place where there's some space and just to sleep, then for the price they charge it's a nice place to stay. Other places were much more and we were visiting Cooperstown for my son's 12U. baseball tournament and we only used this place to sleep and get up and go to the game and repeat. It served its purpose. The staff were a family that resided at the property and they were respectful and friendly.」
