So many cute shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Weird preponderance of lash salons, whicb I took advantage of. One block from LIRR and a transportation hub. Yummy breakfast. When I have to come back to LI for work, I'm staying here again.

Every staff person is very nice. This is the most important to me. It is also very clean. Rooms are worn a bit, but the bedding is very comfy. Complimentary breakfast. The parking is $18 - valet. There is street parking I may try. 4/4 visits have been great. I have a sister in a nearby hospital recovering from a liver transplant. This is a safe and comfortable place e to stay.

The property was art deco which was very pretty . It had a restaurant and bar within the hotel . I didn't go to the restaurant but the bar was nice. The room was clean and very nice . The hotel was very quiet . I would stay at this hotel again .

Was a lovely place except the air conditioner did not work! It was71 when I entered. I turned down the air since I like it cool at night. I woke up to it 81 degrees. It was awful. I told the front desk and they turned it off but it was 74 degrees the entire stay. Would have been a 5 star but air that does not work is not acceptable!!

My second night here - a much nicer room. I also paid more. A free breakfast - unexpected! In a great town- many restaurants, stores and services. I got a pedicure yesterday, and everyone was do nice! I will definitely go back!!

Expedia recommended this place to me, and they have never steered me wrong. Valet parking, and the workers were friendly and helpful. The check in person was lovely, and answered several questions I had well. I got a great rate, so the room isn’t perfect, but very clean and comfortable. I feel safe here,’and I booked another night!!

Unless you can sleep in 77-80 degree room dont stay here. AC doesnt work in winter and even if you turn off heat it doesnt get less than 77. First off the valet guy with grayish hair threw a temper-tantrum because I pulled in the exit entrance never been here before he threw his hands up etc, was so unprofessional and was not going to tip him. Then the check in took like 15 minutes because we had booked on expedia. The room was nice BUT since it is winter you cannot turn on the AC we got to the room it was 79 we turned on cool for AC to cool room down, when we returned it was now 80 degrees!!! They said you have to turn the system to off since cool or heat only does heat in the winter. Had terrible time trying to sleep because it never got lower than 77 degrees in the room and they brought us a huge fan to try and help. Never heard of any kind of hotel that you cant use AC in winter to cool room. Would definitely not stay again. Other than that was nice looking has a bar downstairs, shower works good bed was ok but small we thought it was 2 queens but were definitely fulls.

However, we hope we can provide some clarity on some of the issues you encountered.Regarding your comments on the heating system, we do sincerely apologize and understand your frustration. Our system works on a seasonal basis, when it is winter, heat is available solely. When it becomes warmer out, we will switch over to air conditioning. However, it is comforting to hear that our team attempted to accommodate you by providing a fan and turning the heating unit off. Of course, we are sorry you encountered this issue, and will be addressing it with our team. We reviewed the camera footage concerning the valet, and concluded that after you pulled into the exit by mistake, the gesture that you may have construed as aggressive or emotional was actually the valet gesturing to you to pull into the entrance on the other side. When you pulled up to the front, according to the cameras, he was very polite with you.Finally, as far as the check in, we do apologize for any frustration. It is our understanding that the day was quite busy with many arrivals. Our staff did their best to check in each guest in an efficient and timely manner. We appreciate your compliments on our bar, shower, and bed. We are sorry to hear the beds did seem small to you, we will work with our team to address this concern.Still, we appreciate you taking the time to discuss concerns and conflicts you encountered. Feel free to reach out with any other questions, we hope you have safe travels.

The hotel is small, so the staff know the guests. I love sitting outside, they have a lovely patio, the indoor restaurant is spacious yet, intimate. I like a room with a balcony, they have several. Everything, except for groceries is in walking distance, including the Long Island Railroad into New York City, as well as buses to cross town. 5 stars.

Our air in our room only blew hot air and it was hot in there. The hotel staff did not seem concerned about the complaint. They were bothered by requests to get ice (there isn't a self-serve ice machine) and the nighttime bartender on our last night was very rude. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and the rooms are very spacious. I think the customer service could have been better.
