Highly Recommended – Fantastic Location in the Heart of Edinburgh We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 6 Market Street and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh. The location is hard to beat—directly opposite Waverley Station and right in the heart of the city. Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Princes Street, excellent restaurants, and many of the city’s major attractions are all within easy walking distance. Our first room wasn’t ideal, but the team handled the situation exceptionally well and promptly moved us to a much quieter room without any fuss. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in during our travels. A unique bonus was the complimentary in-room minibar, which is replenished daily with drinks and snacks—a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. The staff were always friendly, professional, and eager to help. My only suggestion for improvement would be to ensure the front-of-house team has a deeper knowledge of Edinburgh’s attractions, restaurants, and local amenities. In a city with so much history and character, knowledgeable hotel staff can add enormous value to a guest’s experience. Overall, an excellent hotel in a superb location, and we would stay again."

"We spent two weeks at the Voco Royal Terrace and loved the experience! The King Suite was huge; king size bed, pull out sofa bed, seating area with a sectional couch, built-in wardrobe with hanging spaces and drawers, beautiful bathroom with separate tub and shower. The housekeeping amenities were lovely and included free cans of water plus shortbread cookies and Tunnock caramel bars daily. Food quality was good and the terrace outside was stunning. All staff we encountered was lovely and so helpful. We plan to stay here again next time we come!"
