"It was lovely except the hot tub was not working. The Chuck's Bar which was connected to hotel, the exhaust fans didnt appear to working as it was very smokey. The hotel itself was clean and the beds were comfy."

"Unfortunately it was first day reopening and a lot of problems were not resolved. The ice maker was out of service. No Wifi so Tv didn’t work. No Robes, No Hot tub, lights out in the pool so we assumed unavailable too. The mini fridge and blow dryer didn’t work. Room was not the cleanest. Still shaving cream and stubble in sink from previous guest. restaurant’s staff and food was good, but very slow to come out of the kitchen. The only reason I booked there was for the beautiful spa. I scheduled a massage for my husband’s birthday gift and was so disappointed when the manager informed us our appointment was not going to happen because of car trouble. I informed the manager of my dissatisfaction before we left and she didn’t seem to care at all. It’s sad really there is so much potential for this beautiful historical property. Regretting booking at The Briars Resort, I really wish I had spent my time and money elsewhere."

"The Stay at Econo Lodge has been more than satisfactory, the room allocated was clean and tidy on arrival and matches descriptions. The building itself does need some love here and there no doubt but nothing concerning. Staff from front desk to housekeeping throughout were polite and informative and ready to assist and any issues or request I had was met with polite enthusiasm to help. There are typical amenities available at this budget friendly location and the breakfast available is basic food and such to help yourself to make if you need it. Econo Lodge u is surrounded by food restaurants and a dollarama(always useful) literal minute walks away and it's in just the right spot to head out and explore the city with a bus stop nearby and local taxi's and "app services" to get you around if you don't have a vehicle. There's generally ample parking space on site and nearby. It's not going to be an issue unless it's a busy period than be prepared. Although you can never know who your fellow guests may be during my stay the atmosphere was calm enough throughout to me. I'd have no issues booking here again when needed."

"Clean. Flooring is like... loose? it's acceptable for the cheapest place in town. The parking lot (Canada in winter) was mostly plowed, with a truck that seems to be a permanent fixture, if I had a trailer I couldn't have even pulled in. Tiniest room I've ever stayed in, but since I was alone it was acceptable. Bathroom was excellent. Heating was either too hot or too cold, it was -12 the night I stayed, so maybe the small radiant heat on the outer wall was freaking out due to the extreme temp? Overall I'd say it was fine, checking in was actually the best experience with a simple code to open the door, I arrived late at night and didn't need to deal with anyone, just walked up and went in with my code. . Two hangers on the short wall, since it was winter I had a heavy coat to hang, so a multiple day stay would have been a pain with no place to put luggage other than the rack in the corner. So... not the nicest place ever, not the worst, overall good experience at a fair price for the area."
