「This is a historical hotel. It used to be a great and attractive hotel. Its scenic view is great However， the elevator is old and makes some noise. As a whole, compare to other hptel in auckland it does still deserve to book and live in this hotel at this price.」

「The rooms are very small and basic and in need of a lick of paint. The room was clean and the bedding crisp and white. Don't expect any amenities in your room, they are basic and in a communal area in the hall. But that is explained in the room described. The showers and toilets are also communal and along the hall and are nice and clean. We were fortunate enough be given free upgrade to the Delux Ensuite Queen room by the owner of the hotel. 「LOVELY stay-the proprietors Tim and Janet are wonderful hosts-we were allowed to check in early, shared an informal happy hour and they gave us a lot of local information and happenings. Janet showed a lot of personal touches to the room and it was great to have our own patio. HIGHLY recommend!」
