We had a wonderful couple of days here and would definitely go back again. The ballroom Cafe was lovely with great food and atmosphere and the 5 course meal in the castle was amazing.

This was the most amazing stay! Strongly recommend the dinner in castle as well. The food is delicious for both the dinner and the breakfast! Would travel to NZ again just to stay here.

There was nothing about this property i did not like. Everything was excellent, the food, the staff, the grounds the views. It was the best place we stayed on our trip. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and the history about the place and New Zealand was excellent.

The unit was clean, in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. Instant coffee, teabags, sweeteners, and milk were available in the room along with an electric kettle. Breakfast was very good. Check in and out was simple and quick, staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Superb experience all around- kindest and most helpful staff (Barbara at check-in was fantastic!), gorgeous room with breathtaking views, spectacular gardens, excellent tour with Carol at the castle, most delicious made-to-order and buffet breakfast! We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended to anyone seeking to spend time at a very special place in New Zealand!
