「Our double Queen deluxe room was very charming with cheery country curtains high crown molding ceilings and partial Mountain View’s. It was bright and spacious corner room with great temperature control and a ceiling fan. The beds were very comfortable & the pillows were a lovely lofty down. The desk had a clock with a USB outlet which was convenient for us! The spa was really very nice! The spa tub and outdoor seating area was set among a garden and was very pretty. 「The hotel was beautiful!! Well appointed if not a bit dated. Large golf course attached. Breakfast wasnt included and for the price i was charged, the buffet was lacking. It was very dark and tucked over in a corner. I had to guess what a couple things were because there was no lights on in the dining room. The food I did have was good but not worth the cost. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely go again!!」

「The historian at the front was extremely friendly. What a gem of a man. The inn itself was GORGEOUS! Even though the rooms were small, it felt like you stepped back in time. This red headed hostess with glasses was very standoffish though. Did not greet guests with customer service at all. Also the food was a 6.5/10. The mud pie was amazing but they served green beans as a side vegetable. Just plain boiled, absolutely no seasonings or sauteeing. Overpriced entrees a tad. Cocktails were great...

「The historical house really made it a special stay. The staff both at the hotel and the bar/grill were friendly, and shared great stories of the home. Durham is a fantastic town with great history that the Durham Historical Association, which is just down from the hotel proudly displays. I will definitely return.」
