"The room was clean, and room service was good. The hotel restaurant, which was supposed to be high end was very poor n poor customer service. The other problem was the check out process. If you bring more bags then you can carry on your own you will need to get guest services to help you. They are overwhelmed at the 11am check out time. If on top of that you use valet it complicates the problem because they do not have the space or the resources to be able to get everyone their bags or their vehicles when everyone is checking out at the same time. Though we checked out at close to 11am we did not get off the property until close to 1pm. To help you may ask for a late check out. Great room poor property management!"

"Excellent place to stay. My husband and I just wanted a short getaway and this was perfect. The room was extremely clean and it had a beautiful ocean view. The pools were very close and convenient, easy to access. The beach is easy to walk to. Across the street there is a small shopping plaza with Ross, Marshalls, Five Below, and other shops. Would definitely stay here again."

"Lobby is very clean and staff was all friendly. They have a limited choice menu at meal times that is made to order with sizeable portions and dining tables just off the lobby entrance. They also have carry out boxes if you want to take it to your room. The pool has beach access, a bar (though not in use during our visit), and looked well maintained. Definitely recommend getting an ocean view room on the upper floors as the balcony view of the beach and ocean is wonderful. Several times we saw pelicans flying by, and it was so relaxing to lay in bed with the sliding door open and listen to the waves. The shower was great with a large shower head with continuous good pressure and heat. The only two negatives we experienced: 1) if you're tall or have mobility issues, might need to look into a handicap room as the toilet is barely over a foot tall. I'm 5'10" and it barely hit the top of my calf. I had to leverage myself up & down with the bathroom counter 2) the AC vents directly onto the balcony so if you're trying to sit out there to relax and just listen to the ocean, it's incredibly loud and distracting "

"We stayed 3 nights at sea shells, then stayed 1 night at hard rock before returning to sea shells to end our trip- boy am I glad we ended it there. It was on such a high note. Clean rooms done with care. I've worked in hotels, so I am PICKY when it comes to my rooms. The room is cooler temperature wise than hard rock, no limit to how cool you want your room (we are from TN, we wanted me be CHILLY upon returning inside from the Florida heat). The employees working on site were so friendly and had that southern hospitality we are used to. Kitchen is stocked with whatever you need- blender included. Oh, and we can't forget the view. Holy cow. Couldn't beat it. We literally got the the beach within 2 minutes and could open our balcony door and listen to the ocean while we ate. Not a fan of Daytona by any means, but if I have to be there, I'd want to be at Sea Shells. Thank you!!!"
