「Lovely property with helpful staff. Sundays are busy with the Sunday supper - lots of families - but otherwise a quiet, restful stay!」

「Whilst the staff and facilities were good, I was disappointed with the food. I had the coronation chicken terrine starter.which had a large piece of chicken skin in it. The staff offered me a replacement which I declined and they did not charmed for it. I later asked if I could have fresh fruit for dessert which the said would be available for breakfast. At breakfast the only fresh fruit available was watermelon. I may be picky but I feel that these minor items should be catered for.」

「There were build works outside by terrace overlooking lake with cement mixer and angle grinder cutting stone most of the day the Saturday I was there . Not the best idea with patrons sitting there by temporary plastic tape eating and drinking . Perhaps a fencing of sorts to obscure the works ?」

「We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in...

「Friendly helpful staff. But the bedroom was insufferably hot (admittedly during heatwave) even with a fan. Breakfast was ok but lacked fresh fruit with only overripe bananas. Dining room window we sat next to was very dirty - cobwebs and dead bugs aplenty. Overall, great staff but otherwise a lot of room for improvement.」
