"This is an older property and the rooms reflect this. The beds were comfortable and clean. It was fine for us as we spent most of our time with family. The owner/manager was very helpful and friendly. We were in the end room and the Wi-Fi was weak there. He offered us another room but we chose to stay put. We could easily walk to the gazebo or just a bit toward the office to use Wi-Fi. It worked fine for us but it’s certainly not the Ritz. "

"My mom needs a walker and there was no elevator. No bars to hold onto anywhere in the bathroom. Dining room was beautiful and good was very good. Debbie at the front desk was great when we checked in. Room was a little sparse-no TV just a bed and a dresser and a little noisy but hey, it’s an old heritage hotel. "

"This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "

"This location is within waking distance to fast food, and is close to a quality grocery store and the freeway ramp. It's adjacent to Auburn and is set back from a busy street. The staff is friendly and chatted with us when we checked in. We were able to check in early which was a bonus. The rooms include a small refrigerator and a microwave. They serve a hot breakfast, we did not eat there but we saw several families enjoying it. The property is older, the outdoor pool is not heated and the spa jets did not work properly. "
