「Waste of money. The hotel is only fully operational on the weekends. On weekdays, it functions like an Airbnb. This was never mentioned or communicated in advance, even though I spoke with someone on the phone to inquire about bringing my dog. Imagine my surprise to show up to a completely empty hotel. 「This is our second stay at the National Hotel. The property is charming and historic; however, both times, the staff have been unfriendly and seemed bothered by simple requests. We were not alone in the process.」

The inn was close to shopping and fine dining. However, there was no surface space on which to put things. There were no shelves and only a small dresser in the closet. The only surface was the bed. We constantly lived out of our bags. One must be healthy and mobile to get to the patio or to the refrigerator.」

「Broken AC, the room was not swept or mopped at all (dirty and there were bugs and spider webs all over), the "hard wood" floor in the bathroom was sinking in like there was wood rot underneath. Avoid coming here. I was guaranteed a refund for having to switch rooms and shorten our stay, and still have not gotten the refund」

「We were placed in a room that smelled like urine so the staff moved us to another room. The TV remote didn't work and Noone could help fix it. They just suggested we move back to the original room. Overall the stay was ok but don't think I would be back or suggest this place to others. Breakfast was good. Love the waffles」
