"Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities."
"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. "Aweful stay, the alarm went off when we were there and it took 2-3 hours before we got help, waiting in a phone line for hours. The provided code to the apartment did not work and later there was a poweroutage, why we opted to leave the place earlier than planned, because there was not way of reaching the owners with no internet, phone service. Overall spent way too much time on stuff that you don’t want on a vacation.
On top of this the operator “grand welcome” texted us multiple times for payment of the place, even though it was 100% prepaid, and they did confirm so.
