Great place! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, you feel like you are at a camp. The base camp restaurant is great and good prices. It also has an Starbucks inside which is great. People at front desk are so friendly.

Great location, close to the waterfall area, easily accessible on foot. There are large restaurants and other amenities nearby.
All the above plus the quiet and beauty of the park all round.

Excellent location. Too bad the hotel doesn’t at least attempt to compliment the beauty around. If it wasn't the only show there it would surely not survive.
The Yosemite Valley Lodge was such a perfect central location to enjoy the valley. We had the view of the Yosemite Falls right at our back porch. The Yosemite shuttle is free and took us to trailheads and the welcome center amongst other opportunities as well. All the staff were amazing. They wanted to be sure that our needs were met. We took the 2-hour Valley tour where Bill was an incredible wealth of knowledge. What a great way to start our vacation.
The lobby is welcoming and the little suites are cute. The staff were friendly and provided a map to navigate the property. There were no bears on site.
Great place with stunning views and wonderful hospitality. From the moment we checked in (thanks to Jonathan) to the restaurant staff (especially Mr. DJ), everyone was incredibly patient and friendly. Even though we came hoping to see snow and didn’t get any, the experience was still amazing because of the people. Truly made our stay memorable.
Excellent location, just 15 minutes walk to lower Yosemite Falls. 3 different places to eat and a Starbucks on premise.
Rooms are clean and basic. Bed was comfortable. Very friendly staff. Yosemite Valley free shuttle has a stop here.
Happy to have an affordable option inside the park. Room was fine. Location was great.

Clean and functional if a little basic. But you are not paying for anything fancy, the location is stunning and the facilities in terms of food options are good…the heating systems in the room are old and rather noisy but overall a fantastic stay…

Disliked: Amenities
Only positive is the location. Rooms are very dated, they do not have thermostats, just extra blankets and portable heaters. No amenities - no breakfast, no microwave, no indoor pool or hot tub. Very expensive considering.
Did appreciate outdoor tours there, especially with your guide Deano.
Very cozy cottage like stay. Would recommend for people looking for a stay in the park there a fridge but no microwave. If you need one you can use a communal one in the front desk building.
Rooms not 100% clean. very old. great location, great service and people , if you complain they come.
i guess its hard to mantain such a place,
just dont olan to stay too much at the room, only for sleeping etc
