"I had booked early January for our trip in mid May and booked a room with a king size bed for our 40th anniversary. Upon arrival, the clerk told me they upgraded our room to two double beds with a garden view. I don’t know how they thought 2 double beds was an upgrade over 1 king. The beds were so small. He even joked that I would have 2 beds in case I wanted to kick my husband out of mine. And the view was not of any gardens, but of the rooftop below us. I let them know that I wasn’t happy with this and he said he would see what he could do, but we never heard another word about it. Also, I had pre-booked our palapas for the week before leaving home and the first day I went to the beach towel desk to get our towels and let them know I was there for my palapa that I reserved. I went down to my palapa and there were people there already. I had to go back to the desk and they said they couldn’t do anything about it, but would see about getting us another one. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting, then I finally told them to cancel it and I would just use the pool. I was so upset that we were just dismissed like that. The third day we went to the beach, the same thing happened, but the girl immediately upgraded us to a front row palapa at no charge. Over all the Hilton is very nice, but we had a couple of bad experiences that left us feeling like we didn’t matter and were ignored. We’ve been to Aruba several times and this was only time I was disappointed."
