"Chose this hotel based on price & location, and I'm not sorry I did, though it was a more interesting experience than we'd planned! SonoLux is an "art hotel" and visual art is integrated throughout; there is also a downstairs bar that has live music or DJ sets several nights of the week. You walk in through a restaurant space. There isn't a reception desk or anything like that -- you can self check-in at kiosks, and most of the time there's one person roaming around the lobby restaurant area that will help you do whatever you need (check in, ask a question, store luggage). The room was very nice and comfortable for 2 people. Bed was VERY comfy. They did a nice job with this place, but don't go in expecting a traditional hotel experience."

"Friendly welcome. Very god vfm spacious studio with well equipped kitchen. Large comfortable bed. Only disappointment was over bathtub shower - fine margin between adequate flow and being scalded. Nice continental breakfast included in rate. Only 15 minute walk to Old Montreal, but plenty of shops/restaurants on nearby St Catherine Street. Also just ac5 minute walk to rail station and 12 minute walk to La Maison Symphonique where we saw an excellent Mahler concert. Highly recommended."
