Very bad experience in L hotel

It was a very bad experience to stay in L hotel. I arrived the hotel in the autumn season, but there was a black fly in the room. The staff didn't agree to change another room for me. No restaurant in a 4 star hotel. The facility was very old. The local person said they will never recommend this hotel to tourist. I don't know why they can got 4.6 for the review.

What is most unique of this property is the artistic concept of this hotel. Ideally situated in the heart of Old Montreal, a few steps from Basilique Notre-Dame and Place-D’Armes Square. The walls of every floor are lined with frames of paintings spanning decades if not centuries of artists ranging from Monet, Miro, Picasso to Andy Worhol. Take a walk though the halls of each floor - if you appreciate local and international replicas of well known artists and painters. Friendly staff, clean property, in the historical and cultural center of this lovely metropolitan city.

The rooms were very unique but one of the rooms smelt very musty. Executive Room was nice and well appointed but all the rooms were very dated and needs updating. Our bathroom was not clean, water marks all over the counter top suggesting it had not been cleaned after the previous guest. Carpets from the entrance to the rooms were very worn and dirty. The good points, it’s in a good location quiet but easy to walk and get places and restaurants bars all walking distance. The staff at the hotel were all really nice and were helpful and accommodating. I can’t fault them for their customer service.

Este hotel es hermoso, super vintage. Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y cómodas. Lo mejor del hotel es la ubicación y la amabilidad de su personal, todos son super atentos y algunos hablan español. Lo único que mejoraría es la alfombra, es un poco vieja pero lo bueno es que ni huele mal.

Location, location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the front desk people were so helpful, the room was huge the bed very comfortable and the room nice and quiet. Able to walk everywhere from the hotel feeling very safe too

This hotel has an excellent location, but the room photos are totally not true. It is a shame to find this kind of service in a 4 star hotel in such a central tourism area. We got a primier king room, but the room is super narrow, not like the photo at all, it is so skinny, that can barely walk pass the bed to the other side. The bathroom is tiny too, not like the photos either. It does not have much counter space to use, and the walk in tub is a real joke! It is just a compact quarter of circle shape, with a shower head not really adjustable for use in that tiny space. So I called Expedia, and the agent had helped me to contact the hotel, trying to figure out why there is mis-match like this, the hotel stuff insisted this is the right room, and no apologies were made. Expedia agent ended up give me about 9% off with store points, but we would not recommend this hotel to any one, to have another disappointed vacation experience!!!

Selected since it included breakfast. Dissapointed. It is just OJ, Coffee and croissants from 7-10 AM on paper cups and plates. Other than the location and the attractive lobby, no other redeeming feature. Westin is much cheaper and has better and larger rooms. Negatives: 1. Not a single USB charge port for phones 2. Not a single AC outlet at desk level. Two at floor level with one of them under a desk 3. Matress is way too soft with no suppoort 4. Elevators were not functioning for most of the day

Wonderful hotel & all of the stuff was super friendly. Room was very spacious with nice decor & comfy bed. Loved having breakfast & hanging out in a hotel lobby which had eclectic decorations. In addition hotel had a wonderful shop with variety of items for yourself or gifts. We loved it!

The room we were given was NOTHING like the photos. It felt like a scam… and they knew it. Nice people who work there so they refunded on night. Its a worn sort of cluttered hotel I would not stay here again.

The hotel was quaint, very much like a European hotel. Beware, there are many steps up to the front desk and very helpful young men to carry your luggage, but beware for anyone using a wheelchair or mobility device! All staff were helpful and they had a delightful bar for an evening drink and a fantastic croissant breakfast.
