It had a modern atmosphere. It was quiet. The service people were quick to accommodate requests. It was a good local because of restaurants, culture and history. People were friendly in the area.

This was our first stay at the Hotel David. Such a great concept. We’ve stayed at other apart hotels before (Sonder) so we know the drill. Pros: - clean upon arrival - spacious kitchen area - well appointed kitchen - plenty of towels - heart of Old Montreal - great if you love minimalist decor - secure building entry - pleasant smelling lobby hallway Cons: - any smoke or weed smell came up into our third floor space even though windows were closed. Smelled very strong - nearly every surface, including the shower floor and walls, is covered with a painted on concrete-like material. They could have gone for some higher end finishing (the kitchen counter was very hard to clean) - to shower is a walk-in stall that has a half glass partition. This allows water to spray all over the floor outside of the shower area - the vanity is very small so nowhere to really perch toiletry bags and things for two people - hallways are very dark - we weren’t provided any dishwasher tabs or laundry detergent/fabric softener. Thankfully I had stuff for the laundry that I brought myself.
