The service was excellent. After checking out, we stored our luggage, and when we went to pick it up, the front desk proactively gave us two bottles of water. Room service was prompt as well (usually within 15 miuntes). Also, the room design was very good, featuring an electric stove and a European-style bathtub, which were very aesthetically pleasing. Lastly, the location is very close to major subway lines 1 and 2, which is very convenient for traveling to Notre Dame and old montreal.

The hotel itself was very beautiful, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. We were never informed prior to booking or at check in that there was active construction taking place. Instead, we were handed a paper apologizing for the inconvenience. Once in our room, the noise was extremely loud and sounded like drilling directly above us. The same drilling started again the next morning at 8:00 AM and woke us up. Had we known about the construction in advance, we would not have booked this hotel. Staff communication was also lacking. We arrived early knowing our room likely would not be ready, which was completely fine. When we asked about parking and whether we could park early, we were told yes but given no direction or explanation. The staff member simply stood there. When I followed up asking about valet parking, she again said yes and pointed to someone nearby rather than clearly explaining the process or offering assistance. While the property itself is visually stunning, the lack of transparency and poor communication left a negative impression. Based on our experience, I would not stay here again or recommend it.

The staff was lovely, helpful at all times and went above and beyond to make us welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. Even the coffee was good. The hotel exceeded out expectations and we plan to visit again.

What an amazing stay at this property. I travelled with my husband, daughter and mom from the US and stay a total of 6 nights and this place was everything we hoped for and more. First off, the hotel has a great location close to restaurants shops and cafes within walking distance and a block away from. St Katherine street. Our favorite feature was the complementary coffee and espresso machine we had in our room since we are all coffee lovers, they gave us all the complimentary coffee and water we asked for without complaint. Another thing we enjoyed was the service, every staff member we had an encounter with was so nice and polite, five star service !!!! The beds were super comfortable and they gave us robes and slippers as well. But most importantly, the entire property (including our room) was spotless. Even when it was hard to keep the lobby clean because of the constant in and out of people on snowy days, there was a staff member constantly sweeping and cleaning. The two restaurants on property were great, we had appetizers and drink at Benjamin and again, the service from staff amazing!!!! Can not stress enough how much we loved this hotel. We will definitely return.

I’ve stayed at quite a few 4-star and 5-star hotels before, and my experiences were usually great. But this time, my stay at this so-called 4-star hotel was honestly awful. First of all, the hotel looks extremely outdated. The decor and furniture feel old, and the lobby is tiny—there’s barely enough room for one table and a few chairs. Second, the room was also very small. For two people, it felt cramped and uncomfortable. Even the light switches looked worn out, and the curtains were visibly dirty, which was really disappointing. Third—and this was something I was actually looking forward to—the “heated pool” was a big letdown. It’s not a real pool at all. It’s basically the size of a hot tub, and the water wasn’t even warm. The gym was just as disappointing: there were only three treadmills, and the space was so small it barely felt like a gym. But the worst part happened on the third day. We requested housekeeping, and when we came back that evening, the room was a complete mess. Our backpack was left on the floor, and our clothes and shoes were scattered everywhere—total chaos. It was shocking and unacceptable. We came to Montreal hoping to enjoy a wonderful Christmas holiday, but this hotel stay completely ruined the experience. On top of that, the restaurant next door was overpriced and the food was honestly not good. I definitely won’t choose this hotel again. For the same price, there are so many better 4-star options in Montreal.

Bien dans l’ensemble Just un peu cheap de mettre une seule savonnette, quand tu vas dans la douche ne l’oublie pas !!! D’ailleurs je préfère le savon liquide ca gaspille moins.

Over all every thing was good to Excellent, check in was was excellent, check out was ok I did not understand Breakfast was at your cost and that was not the problem, I asked if I could get a print out of the bill, ( I wanted to make sure it was charged to my Cr. card, they said it will be on my Cr. card statement, I said thank you but I would like a printed copy of the bill, they said they do not do that. I want to give them a 5 , but I just do not understand why I could not get a copy>
