「We happened to stay during a heatwave. The room had no air conditioning, only a fan. The room was spacious but really needs an update. The corners of the bed and the duvet cover were torn. The wallpaper was also peeling. The bathroom renovation was acceptable. Breakfast was in buffet style but the refills were too slow—there was nothing left to eat and all the juices ran out.」

「The soundproof was not good at all. During late evening and early in the morning, the footsteps from upstairs were SO LOUD. We could not sleep well due to the noise. The squeaking sound was crazy, as the guests kept walking. Sound proof of walls on the same floor was ok, not silent, but totally acceptable. Apart from the noise, everything is fine. 「Bit apprehensive beforehand reading reviews as the hotel is undergoing refurb but honestly our room was excellent as it was one newly refurbished.To be fair it was a bit of a trek getting to it but it is an older building and not much they can do about that as it is also only a couple of floors so extends out the back considerably. carpets in corridors bit dirty but builders clearly in and out, and they seem to have painted bits that maybe should have waited until refurb finished - also whoever...
