"This property has gone downhill drastically since we stayed here 2 years ago. It is in bad condition and in desperate need of repairs. The elevator was broken in 2024 and still broken today. The lights flicker constantly, broken furniture was scattered down the hallways, rust in the tubs, and the carpet was beyond disgusting. Don't let the picture of the lobby fool you, this property needs a major overhaul. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Overcooked instant eggs and sausage links, and dry pastries. When leaving, we saw mold near the ice machines due to drainage issues. The only things good, were the A/C did work, and staff was nice (almost apologetic). With the rates they charge during the livestock shows, you would think they could put some money back into the property. It's a shame this was even open. After this experience, we won't trust staying at another Wingate. "

"First the greeting from Leslie was top tier. He was so helpful, so kind & more importantly he was very respectful. I had so issues with my card. He was very patient while the issue got resolved even with a lobby full of waiting patrons he waited on me. After my issue was resolved I saw he moved on to the next person with ease and grace once again. I will definitely be back to this location & I hope he is there to check us in & out! He is a great access to this establishment! "

"Very lovely hotel that we just discovered. It was like a luxury botique hotel where the staff treated guests like loving family. We loved all the details that really upgraded our stay. The food was wonderful as well. We particularily loved our waiter at breakfast, Oscar. We will definitely return."

"Okay the good, the bad and the ugly...it is an older hotel and that is okay with me...it is next to the highway but we couldn't hear traffic in our room on the 17th floor...the lobby is nice but like every thing it needs an investment in updating it...the room we booked was huge...Jr suite with a living room and bar...the bed was big and the mattress very comfortable...the bathroom is very dated with an odd square tub/ shower combo...the toilet is very very low so if you are handicapped definitely do not choose a regular room...I am in the hospital so my caregived and dog are happy with the hotel...it is close to all the hospitals including MD ANDERSON...The front desk clerk was very helpful today when I needed to extend the reservation without paying the dog fee a second time ($75.00 for length of stay). If this is your honeymoon stay elsewhere. If you are here for medical reasons this hotel checks all the boxes ( my insurance covers $125.00 per night so I have minimal out-of-pocket costs )."
