"Book this hotel! I almost don’t want to give up this secret oasis in the middle of a bustling city. This hotel has all the old world charm of Japan. It has traditional tatami mat flooring and shoes are not allowed. The gem of this hotel is the onsen and sauna. This is my second time staying here and I was not disappointed. The rooms are not huge, but the amenities are plentiful. DO NOT skip the breakfast or the late night free ramen! The breakfast is absolutely divine and the ramen was a true highlight of the evening. Pro tip: head over to Don Quixote after midnight for a discounted baked sweet potato after a soak in the onsen!"

"Nice on the surface level impression, but stingy about the things that mattered. The rooms had 3 trays of shower caps, tooth brushes, cotton swabs, etc., which were mostly unnecessary. The hotel only changed our sheets upon request once in 10 days. You could leave out a card requesting the sheets to be changed & then the request card completely disappeared after that. We were also only allowed 1 espresso pod per person, per day to use in our specialty maker. Otherwise, you could take instant coffee packs from the lobby. Real coffee drinkers don't like instant. You could request more sugar, but not more creamer. We are not accessive bathers & didn't always use our towls. We felt like impositions. Furthermore, many Americans don't watch CNN & was offered as the only English news."

"The spa area is excellent with compact but very great variety of bath types, one so amazingly hot, and a sauna. For the well-beaten tourist path on the east side of Tokyo I would recommend but not more than a couple nights as travel to the west side is not easy nor quick. The location is pretty intense close to Sensoji temple but at least 6-8 minute walk from each station through croweded area and there are no direct trains unless going close by. The breakfast, which is expensive, is not worth it. Pros: - nice and quiet at night - spacious rooms - very quaint feeling hotel with a lot of nice touches (manga room, free wash laundry, snacks) - spa is one of the best Cons: - inconvenient to use as travel base except for immediate area - food, breakfast buffet, is neither of quality or variety- skip "

"Room was spacious and clean. They provide you with amenities in the lobby, including bath salts daily to soak in the bath tub after a long day of exploring. The location is close to Sensoji temple. It is far, about 15-20 min walk from the train station, be prepared to walk with your luggage, if you choose."
