Highly recommend hiking around the plantations in Shizhuo, and trying as much tea as possible. We didn't make it up to the Alishan National Scenic Area, but the hiking around the B&B was amazing.

This was possibly our favorite stay of the trip. It was a little tricky to make it this far with public transit but it was so worth it! Overall, it is an outstanding location and helpful staff. The most of the staff has got very good command of English. However, some staff is able to speak with good command of English.
