The location is excellent — just across from Ximending, right next to the metro elevator, and directly opposite a bus stop, which makes getting around very convenient. However, there are some downsides. The reception is located on Level 13, and the hotel does not provide a luggage trolley. This made things quite difficult, especially since we had multiple heavy suitcases after shopping. Guests have to carry their luggage up and down themselves, and when I asked if I could borrow a trolley, I was told there wasn’t one available. No assistance was offered either, which was challenging as I was travelling with my elderly mother. We previously stayed at another three-star hotel that did provide a trolley, which made a big difference. This is something to consider if you are travelling with family, young children, or elderly companions. Personally, I would prefer to pay a bit more to stay at a nearby hotel where the reception is on the ground floor and luggage assistance is available. I also found the staff member on the afternoon shift to be unfriendly and not very helpful, as he seemed to be in a bad mood most of the time.

I had a nice stay at Relax V hotel. The staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional. The hotel was very clean, and it was quiet. They also had complimentary coffee each morning. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s about a 10 minute walk from Taipei Main Station which makes it easy when you are arriving from the airport, and gives you easy, quick access to the Taipei Metro.The neighborhood around the hotel is nice with a lot of shops and eateries. I strongly recommend this hotel.
