「Advertised as a boutique hotel with continental breakfast available - it’s NOT in our experience. No breakfast available. Beverages only available in reception area and consist of tea bags and instant coffee, with water from a thermos flask! Decor is tired, carpets stained, windows can’t be opened, air con not working ( control not fixed properly to the wall), light switch in upper hall of the coach house not working, resulting in light needing to be left on all night. 「There's so much to like about the place, starting right at check-in, which was brief. As we were ready to go upstairs we were offered a bottle of water, or a glass of champagne. Champagne, of course! Nice touch. Walking into the room was a delight. There were seven big, clean windows with shades controlled by switches on the wall. So cool. The view up and down Woodward was big-city dramatic and glamorous, especially at night through all that clean glass. The room was very large. There was a...

「Booked through Expedia obviously. The hotel took the portion that was supposed to be taken from Expedia taken from my credit card used for incidentals at check in. Still trying to get ahold of element hotel to get my money back. So basically paid for hotel twice.」

「The toilet was not working when we arrived. They don't have maintenance onsite, therefore it took a day to have the issue resolved. The pullout couch is horrible. It was thin and slanted, making it impossible to sleep on. If you have more than two people, plan on at least bringing an air mattress. The location is conveniently located to main attractions. 」

「I had a reservation for 2 queen beds and only had 1 bed. They couldn’t change it, or even let me get another room. Said the only reservations were online even though I was in the lobby with my family …and we had to have our teenager sleep with us. Also communication was poor about the valet. Nice facility but unorganized and not helpful for the price. We didn’t let it ruin our trip, but it was disappointing.」
