"If using GPS, be more prepared than I was, both popular GPS options take you to a point in the middle of the road and don't indicate which side of the road the hotel is on, and if you are coming from the South or the East, you won't see a sign for the hotel which is just 2 recessed doors on the North side of the building, blink and you miss it. The hotel is around the corner from the New York Style deli which is either open 24/7 or very late. There are bars in both hotels across the street. Park at the lot across the street from the hotel on the West side of Washington Ave, just North of Michigan Ave."

"Bathroom door in the room is not private. I repeat: the bathroom door inside the guest rooms are just a frosted glass sliding door which provides no visual privacy nor sound privacy. Be warned. I went with 3 other friends and really would have felt more comfortable if the bathroom door in the guest room was a normal solid wood door. Furthermore, if you didn't close the door perfectly, it would roll open. We had 2 queen beds. The layout of the hotel room was great otherwise. A nice long bench with under lighting. A desk and chair. A little closet area to hang clothes. A coffee maker. A small shared center side table with USB ports. A floor lamp, sconce lamps, desk lamp, and reading lights by the beds. I liked that the walk in shower had the controls on the opposite side of the shower so you can turn it on before getting in without getting wet. There was no clock in the room, which was confusing. There was a white noise machine though! The windows didn't open. 2 bottles of water in the fridge were free. The $18 breakfast was sad. Muffins, coffee, yogurt, a weird small selection of what was trying to be a charcuterie board. Not worth it for my group. For that much money, I want a pile of bacon, eggs, sausage, cheese, bagels, cream cheese, a selection of fruits. The downstairs main Conservatory area was pretty sunny, bright, and open. There's a more cozy area next to it set up like a big living room with a 2 sided fireplace. Parking is in a nearby garage for about $20+."

"Our stay was very disappointing. There was dirt and dust on the exposed pipes and windows. The paint was chipped all over. The heater wouldn’t turn off in our room, the thermostat was missing its buttons, and the temperature was 80 degrees. We had to open the windows to let cold air in then continued to not be able to sleep because the road noise/sirens/birds were so loud. The staff didn’t seem to care at all. Will not stay here again and do not recommend. "

"I'm in a Holiday Inn for the rest of my stay and I can tell you it's 10 times the hotel of compared to this place. There's no noise insulation between the rooms so I could hear everything from the people next to me who were loud from 11:30 to 2:00 a.m. at the which point I put ear plugs in. There is no carpet on the floor it's bare dirty concrete. There's a rug that goes under the bed and a little bit where you stand but there's no noise insulation. The room is tiny, small there's no coffee makerin room or downstairs. You can payfor coffee downstairs. There is no breakfast offered. The secure gated parking wasn't secure, the gate wasn't closed so anyone could drive in or walk in. I came and left by car 4 times in two days and the gate was closed once. The only place to sit in the room is in two scoop chairs or the bed. The shower only had half a glass enclosure, so if you weren't careful how you showered water went over the all over the bathroom floor flooding the area in front of the toilet. The water never got very hot. Only one of the two elevators worked. "
