"The property is located in a sketchy area of town. When entering/exiting we often found that there were people hanging around on the sidewalk or just waiting in cars near the building. Thankfully, we had no issues with any of them, but it was a bit concerning. The building itself doesn't have great curb appeal and is clearly quite old. "Room was very clean, along with the corridors going to the room. Even though it was on a busy road in downtown Detroit it was quiet, with very little traffic noise. Beds and pillows were clean and comfortable and plenty of hot water for a nice shower. It's a bit of a walk to the downtown area and ball park but walkable, and I felt safe doing so. Yvette, the lady at the desk was very courteous and friendly and always willing to help. If I ever come back to Detroit, I won't even shop for any other hotels. Great stay. "
