Most people are so focused on nearby Sedona that they miss a lovely hike around Montezuma's Well, full of history, culture, and wildlife (a juvenile rattlesnake shot out from the bushes as my foot was coming down and I stepped on it and immediately jumped a mile high and screamed, but don't let that scare you). http://www.liferidingshotgun.com/2015/01/arizonas-national-parks-monuments.html

"Check in was extremely easy. All of the staff is beyond courteous. They cannot do enough for you. The property is absolutely stunning to get up and watch the sunrise was spectacular with the beautiful rock formations.
