「While the property is great, the cleaning staff and doormen were kind, the front desk was not as friendly and helpful. I was told weeks prior to my visit that they would arrange a wheelchair for my elderly mother at the hotel and only told a day before I needed it that they couldn’t give me one unless I rented it myself from an outside company. Not what I expected and was pretty disappointing. I also made sure to tip the front desk and staff so it’s surprising that they weren’t as accommodating.」

「This is my second time at the hotel and it was another great experience. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The housekeeping staff are excellent. The reception and door staff very friendly and helpful. It took a long time to check in which was annoying but they were very busy. My one criticism is the life guards at the pool- the vast majority of them sit looking at their phones and don’t look at what is going on in the pool. 「The views from the William Vale are absolutely stunning, but the room itself was quite small and the amenities felt a bit basic. However, this seems to be the case with most hotels in New York.」
