The hotel benefits from an excellent location, just a short walk from Central Park, Fifth Avenue, and Madison Avenue. However, the overall experience does not reflect a true five-star standard.
The room was quite average, lacking adequate wardrobe and storage facilities—essentially just an open space with a hanging rail. The drawers available were small and could not fit too much. The bathroom appeared outdated, and the attempts to modernise it were poorly executed. For instance, the taps were awkwardly positioned and difficult to access. I could not believe that someone could design the space so badly.
The tub and shower were old and scratched. In the bathroom, the socket for the hairdryer was loose, posing a potential health and safety hazard. We could not use it.
The breakfast was average. We only had breakfast at the hotel one morning, as it did not justify the high cost.
