"The only difference between my room at YOTEL and a much pricier one is square footage. But who needs it? It had amenities to make me feel pampered, thoughtful layout, high-end fixtures, double shades, comfortable bed. The room was super clean and quiet. The hotel location was within 5 minutes of the places I was going and access to public transportation was practically at the front door. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. The building itself is historic and got through the earthquakes of 1906 and 1989 damage-free due to the 2.5-foot-thick walls, not a bad safety feature.
