"Woke up at Anchorage Inn and Resort to the most unreal sunrise 🌅 Stayed in a “traveling with a friend” room — super cute and cozy, but honestly the view stole the show. You can literally watch the sunrise from bed, then run right across to the beach for a cold dip if you’re brave enough ❄️🌊 It’s winter so we didn’t get to use the outdoor pool or check out the upper deck, but it looks like it would be amazing in warmer months. Staff was really friendly and welcoming. Only odd thing—the pillows were kind of weird, like little bunched-up balls, so not the comfiest sleep. Fair warning—this is VERY much a family-focused spot. The indoor pool and hot tub area was packed, tons of kids running around, and it felt pretty small. There is a bar right by the pool which is a nice touch, but overall it wasn’t really the vibe for a relaxing girls’ getaway, and we probably wouldn’t return for that kind of trip."

"When we arrived, there were concrete barriers in the driveway and the hotel was abandoned. We asked a nearby hotel about the York Beach Surf Club and they said the bank foreclosed on them on Memorial Day. No one had contacted us to let us know. We had to scramble to find any hotel room still available "
