Hotel San Francesco Al Monte

"We came for our honeymoon and had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean and the AC worked great - wish there was a kettle in the room though. The hotel itself has a lot of history and charm, we had a great time exploring. The pool was incredible, very peaceful and scenic with great views of the city and Vesuvius. It’s nice that the hotel is above the hustle and bustle of the city but we discovered the walk there was a strain, we got Ubers that were about €10 which was okay. There isn’t a lot of shops or places to eat in the immediate area. Reception staff were happy and friendly. Breakfast had some nice breads and sweets but the cooked options were limited, we didn’t realise until the last day that you could order specific things. The rooftop restaurant and bar is a lovely way to end the day, seeing the landscapes and the lights of Italy. We loved Lizzie the cat by the pool too."

"Way better than expected. I think the point of the hotel was to have a place to stay before taking a cruise. Despite not cruising, we found the location ideal - right next to the ferry dock for Sorrento; right next to a metro stop; easy walking to town and local sites. We enjoy watching cruise ship park just a few feet from our window. The facility appears brand new - too new for decent signage in the port. The rooms were needlessly large for two people. The included breakfast and Italian coffees were excellent. I’d stay here again."

"Excellent location to navigate a Napoli visit. There is no front desk.you must contact the host. It's self check in which was a bit confusing at first but once accomplished, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend"

"If I could give more than 5 stars for how friendly and helpful the staff was, I would. It's a lovely little hotel in a great neighbourhood. The entrance is deceiving, and it took us a little while to find it. The breakfast had a large selection."
