「We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn.」

「The only issue I had was the other guests sitting around outside then making my daughter and cousin feel uncomfortable by telling them at the elevator "you can get on I don't bite but I might nibble" completely inappropriate to say to 15yr old girls then offering my 16yr old son alcohol. People shouldn't be allowed to sit around the outside of the property. The guy at the front desk was really nice and kids and their cousin liked the pool and sauna.」

My husband and I enjoyed breakfast every day with a beautiful view of the water & the staff were so friendly and accommodating for all of our needs. A+ for the luxurious towels and amenities. 「A new building designed in the style of colonial era homes. Larry and Patricia were terrific hosts. Breakfast was made to order and amazing, including biscuits made according to Larry’s grandmother’s recipe. Comfy bed, plush towels. The dimmer switches for the lights are a great touch. Plenty of parking, nice large backyard with tons of birds. Remote location so it’s nice and quiet. Absolutely would stay here again! 」

「First and last time crossing that threshold….2 absolutely shocking events take place within about an hour….we were in the room locked in with an extra kick stick barring the door. All of a sudden we can hear someone using a key card trying to get in our room…I yelled and you can hear them say something like why would they give us this room key…I called the front desk and they said they would look at the cameras and called me back….said there was an error made and apologized. Ok. Try to give some...

「The room appeared clean but your feet turn black from the carpet. The chain lock on the door was broken. There seem to be full time residents living there as well. This is a place to book if you have low expectations and don’t mind the dated vibe. Pool was crystal clear and well maintained.」

「The hotel itself isn't bad but we had issues with our toilet multiple attempts to fix it were unsuccessful and we were never given another room when the toilet wouldn't flush. The wifi was very weak as well.」

「The staff were pleasant but we had trouble getting help with a piece of medical equipment when we were ready to leave. The location is quiet and the breakfast was good. Our only real complaint was that the floor in our room wasn't that clean. It seemed a bit sandy underfoot from the get go.」
