The hotel exudes refinement without feeling stuffy, and it’s easy to see why The Jefferson is a beloved institution in the city. Food and Breakfast:** The breakfast was superb, with a distinct Southern Virginia touch that felt comforting and refined at the same time. I enjoyed Virginia ham for breakfast, and it truly took me to heaven—rich, savory, and perfectly prepared. The menu felt both fresh and thoughtfully curated. "The rooms were well appointed and clean. Nice white bedding. Hair dryer included. Breakfast was good and the cleanliness and upkeep of the kitchen and dining area was exceptional. All the people who worked there were hard working, very friendly and efficient. I keep coming back."
