"Location is great. The tram from the airport stops right in front of the hotel (Picard Place station). It can't get more convenient than that - you just cross the street. There are lots of places to eat and you can walk easily to the old town attractions. The rooms were tight (with the sofa sleeper extended) , felt outdated and damp from the humidity in the air. Staff was nice and the included breakfast was good."

"Room was great. Breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel. Location was spot on for the train but also for the royal mile. The only downside was check in. The staff were not very friendly and it was awkward to find our room. We were told to go down this way to find floor 4. There was a lift but it only went to rooms up to 432. Luckily a bar staff member told us we had to walk another 30 seconds around into the new building works area to find a second lift. There was no signs or anything to say this so i feel the reception staff should be telling people this. Overall a really good stay and would stay again. "

"This property is in an excellent location. It is close to the Grassmarket where city tour busses can pick you up and get you where you need to go. The staff (in general) were helpful and were willing to answer questions. If you want a clean environment look elsewhere. I don’t think the bathrooms were cleaned at all the whole week I was there. Trash piled up on the floors and next to the toilets, the showers had hair and mold. It was extremely loud due to the three sisters across the street throwing massive parties every night. I know it was a cheap option and you get what you pay for but I wasn’t expecting this level of unclean. However, if you don’t mind any of what I said above then it’s perfect for you. Also, there are no lifts/ elevators. So, if you have difficulty with stairs it is not the right property for you. All that being said I had an ok, visit. I, however, will not go back. As it did not leave a good impression."
