"Huge sprawling Americanised resort - buildings are very tired and rooms dated. So many rules on pool towels/ parking/ check out at 10am and wouldn’t extend even though there are hundreds of rooms. Breakfast not great. Staff very friendly is the only good point. We only stayed for one night as we had to find somewhere last minute as our flight was changed. "
"We stayed here four nights before catching a sailing ship. While not luxurious, this hotel was perfect for our needs. The decor was dated but everything in the room was clean. Sheets clean. The mattress was a little firmer than I prefer but fine for short term. No hot water in the kitchen sink or bathroom sink but the hot water and water pressure in shower were wonderful. Daily maid service. Kitchenette had cups, plates, utensils. Bring your own coffee. We brought cone fillets but there were some in room. Fridge kept things cold. No I’ve machine on floor but when asked the clerk got me a small ice bucket full. The pool was clean and refreshing. Desk clerks responded quickly to any requests.
It is in a neighborhood. The Marigot market is 0.8 miles away to walk. It took a couple of tries to find best, quickest route. From front door - turn right for a cute bakery open till 6p. From front door go left to a grocery store with plenty of snacks, drinks. Go left to walk to town and follow road to main thoroughfare, go left, then right at Rue de Republic. Then straight to waterfront, market and restaurants. We pulled our suitcases to waterfront to catch boat. It was bumpy but fine. You could take a taxi. Probably 10 euro. "
"Clean room, nicely appointed. Great views of the pool area and ocean. Breakfast out in front of the bay was really an unexpected positive. Family loved that everyday. Great location close to lots of restaurants and activities. Only complaint is the karaoke bar across the street which didn’t bother me so much but the light sleepers were a little impacted. "
"We loved the Azure. Mike is an excellent host and the cleaning staff is friendly and efficient. You will get to know everyone before you leave. We enjoyed the Tourtoises in the courtyard, and we especially loved the sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. We stayed at 3 different places in St. Martin’s and this was our favourite. Our room was not large but it provided everything we needed, and the beds are made up everyday. Great restaurants and a 10 minute walk or way, or just walk up the beach to Mary Boon.
We will return! "
