Room was clean. Check in was quick and easy. The only negatives about this hotel are there are no ice machines. If you need ice you have to go to the bar which means there has to be staff at the bar. And it was difficult to get extra towels. Other than that, the stay was great and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Make sure you rent a car when staying at this hotel. There is very little around it. Not many stores and not many places to eat.

The room was in great condition. The staff was very friendly. There are no irons in the rooms and you have to go to the laundry room to iron. The light on the mirror in our bathroom did not work. There are no microwaves in the rooms and they do not provide wash cloths to bathe with. Other than that, the hotel was beautiful and the location was close to major locations on both sides of the island. This is not your stay at the Ritz Carlton, but it’s very nice and the overall look of the hotel is beautiful and an amazing place to take pictures!

Room was spotless and the staff was amazing - great team at the restaurant and wonderful food!!! also met the owner who was very friendly and we saw him working around the hotel as well. Pool was wonderful, and so lovely to walk around in the evening - all lit up in colours of red, green yellow. Recommended this to 2 families we met when our flight was cancelled and they enjoyed it as well. Small thing - wish the rooms had a microwave. But this is France - NOT - North Amercia! And the ambiance was wonderful.

The staff were very rude & not helpful. Our trip time was very limited. When we arrived at the hotel the room was not ready, it was already 4pm when we arrived at the hotel. So we decided to go to the bar to wait. The bartender was not friendly, she did not acknowledge us. We waited for five minutes for her to ask if we wanted to order a drink. An hour and a half later the room was ready however, no one called to let us know. We had to go back to the front desk to check on the room. No one helped with the baggage and to find the room. They gave us instructions, and it was incorrect. The room was mediocre. It didn’t even have an iron. There’s only one iron in the entire hotel. We had to leave the room to iron our clothing in the “luggage/baggage room”. Do not recommend to stay here, there are nicer hotels on the dutch side.

Staff was nice but hotel is lacking. Cockroaches at night, Walls are thin you can hear everything at night. Our TV kept turning on automatically in the middle of the night (was told due to power outage). As a hospitality professional with extensive experience in upscale properties, I hold high standards—especially in destinations like Saint Martin’s French side, celebrated for its elegant service and authentic French-Caribbean sophistication. My recent one-night stay was deeply disappointing. I prepaid for a confirmed room, only to find it reassigned to another guest upon arrival. I was placed in what seemed the least desirable room on the property: a handicap-accessible unit with no kettle, no coffee maker, and minimal amenities—just a bottle of water and two glasses. It lacked the comfort and refinement expected here. The front desk team managed the situation with true professionalism, which I appreciated. However, relocating me to the handicap room and offering complimentary breakfast did not sufficiently address the significant downgrade or inconvenience. In my view, such issues call for tighter inventory controls, transparent communication, and more empathetic recovery gestures. This ranks among the most unsatisfactory single-night stays I’ve ever had, especially on the French side of SXM, where elevated standards are the norm. We had no choice but to book elsewhere that evening. Properties here attract guests who seek—and deserve—excellence in every aspect. I share this feedback constructively, in the hope it prompts stronger protocols to ensure such lapses don’t diminish the island’s well-earned reputation for impeccable French-inspired hospitality.

Staff is very sweet, and hotel is very cute. I liked the cute breakfast and cute decoration. It is very clean too. I didnt like the pool, and bed could be a little bit more comfortable. But overall was a good price for the experience.
