Sunscape Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino - All Inclusive

6/10 Okay

"Sunscape is close to popular activities we wanted to do. We were walking distance to Mambo Beach and a short taxi ride to downtown Willemstad. The resort held daily and nightly events and entertainment. I loved the fire show. Overall, the resort is very family friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel frequently ran out of things (ex: wash cloths, menu items at restaurants). The pool closed at 6pm every night. The best food was at the hibachi restaurant."

"This IS NOT an ADULTS ONLY resort as advertised! There are children everywhere! So if you're looking for an adult only location THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! As a mother of 4 I did NOT want to be on a mixed aged resort. Specifically picked the Rif because it was advertised and stated to be Adults ONLY! If i wanted to be around more kids I would have brought my own! Children were out of control in buffet and all over the Rif. Very upsetting! Also didn't receive celebration amenities that were promised as the point of the trip was to celebrate my college graduation and birthday. Neither were acknowledged by hotel as discussed before arrival."

"The check in process was smooth. The room we got was disappointing because it didn't look like what was advertised for the type of room we chose. It had the basic amenities including a mini kitchen that we weren't expecting. It was cleaned daily. It was not a brightly lit room. We were having issues with the AC at first so they had to fix that. We also had to request a blow dryer because there wasn't any in the room and we had to borrow and return the iron each time we needed to use it. The TV that was in the room was a cable one with most channels in another language. A smart TV would've been appreciated for those moments when we wanted to relax and listen to music or watch a show on Netflix or another streaming service. Overall it was just a basic experience for the room. Their poolside bar was nice and they had a particular staff there that made the experience fun, I did not get their name. The pool was relaxing and the food was delicious. There was also another pool near our room with a jacuzzi but we only spent a little time in it due to our schedule. They had sufficient space for parking and when it was time to leave, they offered to arrange a taxi for us as well. We had the option when we arrived as well but we had forgotten to make the request. It wasn't a bad stay though"

"Nice atmosphere and lovely beach front view. Room service cleaning was not the best they would not change the pillow cases at times. I was not expecting to pay additional for beach front seats especially with the cost of the rooms. Otherwise the hotel was very nice. Also I find it ridiculous to pay $25 USD per day for parking else you have to park in the street."
