The pool area was great. The area by the beach bar was even nicer (with the palapas). 75% of the bartenders had alot of attitude. The food was exceptional. Cleaning of our rooms was hit and miss, sometimes cleaned (and restocked) very well and sometimes very late. But overall we had a fantastic experience. Would come again Tim P

Overall, the property is well-maintained. Buffet has lots of international offerings, but the quality is ok. When booking restaurants on premises, the food portions are extremely small. Even with a party of 6, at the barbecue they served us one plate, that's all you could get. It came with one 1/4 piece of corn on the cob, 6 ribs. Requests for more were always acknowledged but never delivered. Lost hot water for several days in the rooms. Bartenders, hit or miss, some were very attentive when tipped, others were more interested in joking with each other, and often I or others were ignored. In one case, a couple sitting at the pool bar asked if they could get some service; they were told to get up and wait in line, then mocked by all the bartenders. Management was non-existent; it seemed most bars were managed by young adults who were more interested in serving locals on day passes than the full-paying guests. Suggest that a review of management practices, with more management on site to see guest experiences. Sad that none of the couples we traveled with will be back or recommend to others. This is a short list. If I owned this hotel, I would be horrified at what is happening.

The property is large and on our side fairly quiet with mostly adults, and a great outdoor bar. The rooms were clean and the food was mostly good. Lots of buffet choices but a couple of restaurant food experiences that were not great.

Yes the pool was enjoyable, room clean. Plug broken staff at desk aware. Never fixed in 6 days we were thereHowever the buffet was only good for breakfast. Food cold. Restaurants were horrible. BBQ didn’t stick to the menu. Brought everything including the soup in small bows to share. Mini bar 2 beers and soda

We did get a partial view ocean room but after having to remind them about our reservation because they gave us a different room than what we booked. The service is bad, staff is lazy not worth the money you spend. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, what the online reviews say are true and they are bad!

We had a great stay. Food at the buffet was very good. Our room was very nice. Pool was beautiful. Bars and drinks great. Staff were friendly. Not a good beach for snorkeling. We traveled to other beaches for that. We paid extra for a partial ocean view room. We could see about a 10% view of the ocean when there was no cruise ship parked. Our biggest complaint was the view from our room on the first floor. 90% of our view was of a work area that had two very large refrigerator units that had very loud motors running. It was difficult to even carry on a conversation on the balcony. Not the vacation view we paid extra for. Make sure you’re on a higher floor further away from the main lobby if a better balcony view is important to you.

The property was beautiful, convenient to the airport, and had lovely amenities, most notably the fitness center and the coffee shop. We didn't swim in the pool, but it looked large and clean and rarely crowded. The beach area was also spacious with plenty of chairs and shade, and the swimming lagoon was clean and not too rocky, with nice formations for snorkeling and observing fish. I thought swimming in the shadow of massive cruise ships would feel uncomfortable, but it was actually quite striking, and the ships acted as a jetty to calm the waves. The food was hit-or-miss; the buffet was large and had an excellent selection as long as the food hadn't run out (it often had). The ala carte restaurants were near-impossible to reserve, and the one we did land (Sofra, the Turkish restaurant) was delicious but may well have been responsible for my partner and me suffering for the remainder of the trip. The bar staff were friendly and competent, although there was inconsistency between bartenders as far as drink recipes. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a large plush bed and functional adequate air conditioning. However, the room had only one wardrobe with a few shelves (one occupied by the room safe), and there wasn't room for my partner and I to unpack. The room was certainly large enough to accommodate an additional dresser. All said it was a pleasant experience, but disappointing that there were missed opportunities to make it truly spectacular.
